How confident are you?

When you think about your confidence, how confident do you think you are? Confidence is a normal human trait and, our confidence may vary from day to day.

In order for you to understand how confident you are, you need to figure out what your base level of confidence is. The level of your confidence will not be the same for all aspects of your life. You will feel more assertive in some areas than in others. This is normal.

To understand how confident you are in the different areas of your life and career, it might help you to break your confidence into manageable parts. You can write down the different areas of your life and rate yourself out of ten for each so that you can see which areas you can focus on.

When you know which of the areas you need to work on most to boost your confidence, you can start building your confidence one area at a time. This will help you approach the process systematically and give you some structure to work with.

You have to set small goals for each area to improve your confidence in that area. The goals that you set have to be created by you, because they need to be individualised for your life and context. In our career courses, you can learn more about the steps you can take to improve your confidence.
